Product Functionality

Which cryptocurrencies are supported in the beta?
BTC, ETH, USDC, Tether and other stable coins TBD.
Can dealerships set pricing in USD and receive automatic conversion to crypto or vice versa?
Yes. The platform intends to either convert directly to fiat currency (USD) or keep in original currency.
Are transactions instant-settlement or delayed until confirmations are completed?
Immediate processing upon confirmations.
Does the platform auto-convert crypto to fiat (for those who don't want to hold crypto)?
Yes.
Can dealerships send refunds or partial payments through the system?
Partial payments are accepted. Crypto refunds are new transactions, not reversals. This may only be available from within Coinbase at first.
What wallet custody model are we using — custodial or non-custodial (dealer-owned)?
Non-custodial only.
Can the system integrate with existing DMS or LOS systems (Dealertrack, RouteOne, etc.)?
Yes.

Compliance & Legal

How does CheetahPay ensure compliance with each state's regulations for vehicle sales using cryptocurrency?
We will consult with each dealership and client regarding state compliance. We intend to implement PCI compliance for security.
Are KYC/AML checks performed on crypto payers?
Only for CheetahPay clients, not their customers/payers.
How are sales tax and registration fees calculated, collected, and recorded when payments are made in crypto?
Sales tax should be calculated by the dealership on their end. We will pass on and explain all Crypton and Coinbase transaction fees.
Is there a conversion record for IRS purposes showing the fiat value at the time of sale?
Yes.
How does CheetahPay handle chargebacks or disputes?
Chargeback and dispute policies and availability are payment-type specific. For example, credit cards and Venmo payments have options for chargebacks and disputes. Crypto sales through Coinbase are final.

What will beta dealerships pay — if anything — to participate?
Planning 1% of transaction on top of our processing costs (i.e. Coinbase, Elevated Payments, etc.).
Are there transaction fees or conversion fees during the beta?
Yes.
Will dealerships receive any incentives (marketing exposure, early adopter pricing, preferred support)?
We intend to waive onboarding fees for initial clients.
What's the expected pricing structure after launch (subscription, pay-per-transaction, etc.)?
One-time onboarding fee, small monthly & per transaction.

Can dealerships export data for accounting or compliance audits?
Yes.
Will there be custom branding or co-branded customer payment pages?
